Whilst growing up in Sebnitz in East Germany, I always knew I wanted to travel the world.

After I finished my hospitality degree in Germany I decided to start my journey in the UK.

Over the past twenty years I have been fortunate enough to work for some of the most prestigious restaurants in London such as Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at the Mandarin Oriental, the Lanesborough, the Connaught and Richard Branson’s Roof Gardens.

Throughout my career I have undertaken various roles. I worked as Chef de Rang on the restaurant floor, as Sommelier Assistant, behind the bar and also in reservation and events.

I have a fondness for art and have a degree in Art Management from the DeMontford University.

It is a great pleasure to bring all of my skills and experience into the Rose and Crown and to make this the destination pub in Enfield, whilst still being at the heart of the community.

I was born and raised in Enfield, so it has always been my dream to have a kitchen of my own in my home town. Being able to run the pub with my wife has made it even more exciting and it has been a shared adventure.

Inspired by my mum and grandmother from a young age, I always wanted to be a chef. As soon as I was able to leave school, I got a job at the West Lodge Park Hotel and started my journey. I spent the next 20 years working in various country pubs and fine dining restaurants across Kent, Berkshire and London. The highlights of my career to date were working at the 3 Michelin starred restaurant, The Fat Duck by Heston Blumenthal under the tutelage of Head chef Ashley Palmer Watts. I spent many years working with Ashley and Heston and that really fine-tuned my understanding of teams, restaurants and cooking. In 2011 we opened Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in Knightsbridge and I spent 10 years at Dinner where we won many awards including 2 Michelin stars and were featured in the San Pellegrino 50 best restaurants in the world awards.
